Banned – Google Adsense common mistakes

When Google decides to ban your Adsense account, consequences can be drastic. Especially if you are beginner in IM scene, Google bans newbies who make mistakes very fast. And a second chance opportunity usually doesn’t exist. Huge websites with 1000$ of Adsense profit per day get thousands of clicks every day, few % of those clicks are always invalid. But if you just started your Adsense story and you get 5 clicks per day and 2 of them are invalid, you’re in trouble. Avoid common Adsense mistakes and read on.

1. Don’t click on your ads and don’t tell others to click on them.

Thinking about clicking your own ads? 90% of Adsense newbies are thinking about bypassing rules and get rich from Adsense right from the start. Google is launching satellites in space, they have multi billion dollars worth technology, their software is the most advanced software in the world. Thinking about making fast profit bypassing their rules is a complete nonsense. Google knows where your traffic comes from, so forget about it.

2.Poor content

Your website has to have unique content. If you steal content from others and copy articles, you can’t use Google Adsense on that website. Google is very much aware of plagiarism, you can make some money for a while but in few months your Adsense account will get blocked and your money will go down the toilet. Rich and unique content is the key for Adsense ads and SERP rankings.

3. Fake traffic

Organic traffic is the most legit traffic for any website. Forget buying traffic from link farms and traffic exchange websites, Google is against that. Work on your search engine optimization and social media marketing.

4. Modifying Adsense code

Code of Adsense ads is as it is and you aren’t allowed to change it. Ad units must be seen as they are, you also aren’t allowed to modify their looks or shape with your html/css code. Changing colors and size in Adsense platform is the only change you are allowed to make. We would all make twice as much money if there wasn’t “Ads by Google” sign in Adsense units, but Google is the boss and you should respect your boss.

5. Privacy Policy

Google demands every website with Adsense to have a special privacy policy page.

“AdSense publishers must have and abide by a privacy policy that discloses that third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your users’ browsers, or using web beacons to collect information as a result of ad serving on your website.”
