I finally got myself a nice and professional rank tracker that doesn’t require costly monthly subscription payments. There is no SEO business without accurate rank tracking, and tracking everything manually through search engines, takes way too much time. There are a few free rank trackers on the market, but none of them can fulfill very high requirements.

For the price of 99$ with lifetime support and updates, Ezee rank tracker has everything I need right now. There is a free version available as well. It is limited to 5 domains and 3 keywords, but it can give you a general idea on what you can expect in a PRO version.  I had some problems setting it up, but Yogesh – a developer from Agarwal Innosoft gave me a quick response, and I got everything sorted out in just a few minutes.

EzeeRankTracker-Free

Ezee rank tracker is a new software in the market. Although I was skeptic at first, as I bought quite a few, mostly pure blackhat tools that were abandoned soon and stopped working), I decided to purchase it and give it a try. The current version is 1.0.3.0.2. and some features are still to be added in the near future, so I will update this post regularly when new updates come out.

Features:

  • Accurate SERP tracking
  • Google, Yahoo, Bing and Youtube tracking
  • 188+ regional Google TLD supported
  • PR, PA, DA and backlinks info through free MOZ API
  • Unlimited projects (keywords and domains)
  • Scheduled and automatic email reporting (PDF)
  • Proxy supported

Review:

Ezee-Rank-Tracker

This is the main dashboard where you can add projects, keywords and URLs. You can add an unlimited number of projects and keywords. Every time you track rankings, the graph will be automatically updated. If you want a more complete overview of ranking changes, of all project and search engines, you can go to “Overview” tab or the “Notes” tab, where you can check on all of the historic changes of any keyword, add notes and add important updates when needed.

Settings:

Before using Ezee Rank Tracker, I suggest changing a few default settings.

ezee rank tracker settings

General settings:

SERP result range is set up at 1000 by default, but setting it up to 500 makes updates for keywords that are nowhere to be found much faster. Thread count is set up at 1 by default, but I’m having no problems having it at 3 or 5, especially when using proxies. If you don’t use proxies, I recommend a 20 second delay between each request, just to stay ultra safe against temporary IP ban by Google.

Email settings:

Before anything else, you should set up your email. You can send email reports to your clients directly through your email. Here are the settings you should use for Gmail and Hotmail accounts:

  • Email ID: Youremail@gmail.com / Youremail@hotmail.com
  • Email password: Your password
  • Email Host: smtp.gmail.com / smtp.live.com
  • SMTP port: 465 / 25 or 465
  • SSL required: Yes

There are some limitations on both Gmail and Hotmail, so I recommend you checking them out if you plan on sending emails to many clients. If you are hosting your own email accounts, check SMTP limitatios of your own hosting provider.

Moz settings:

You can also send page rank, domain and page authority, Mozrank, and the number of indexed backlinks to your clients. You will need to register your account at Moz.com, and get your free API ID to integrate Ezee rank tracker with it.

Branding settings:

Enter your company/personal details and upload your logo image (200x100px). That information will be used in PDF reports.

ezee rank tracker report

Overall:

I’m using Ezee Rank Tracker daily right now. If you don’t want to pay monthly subscriptions for slightly more advanced software (often much less advanced) ranging from $20 above, lifetime price of just $99 is probably the best deal for any rank tracking software right now.

SEO in 2014 looks nothing like it did in 2008. Penguin, Panda, Hummingbird, Dinosaur, Wombat, Rat… What comes next?

Of course you might say “onpage SEO factors are the same and content has always been king.” but, let’s be real. You could find a cure for cancer, publish it on your fresh blog and without proper marketing, no one would know about it.

Internet marketing tactics and approaches have changed in recent years, and they will continue to do so. History of Google’s war against spam shows a clear pattern that all methods work very well, until too many people start using them. That’s the main reason why most tactics stay hidden, and once they get too public, Google starts devaluing them. Eventually once they are completely dead, they end up on Fiverr where thousands of “SEO experts” advertise them as the “Holy Grail” of modern SEO, then sell them for a few bucks promising an explosion to the top of Google.

SEO expert – “The dream job”

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a large business that is ever growing, however most freshmen begin their SEO career in the wrong direction. There seems to be no passion for SEO. No curiosity surrounding how search engines really work. No motivation to explore the SEO world or wanting the abilities to learn some of the new and quality approaches. Sadly the only thing that matters for newbies is money. “What others sell and how can I create those links” are 2 basic questions of future Fiverr SEO “gurus”. That couldn’t be more wrong.

Blasting a website with thousands of blog comment backlinks was enough to skyrocket the toughest keywords on first page of Google years ago. Not long ago, spinning an article on word level was enough to make it unique enough to make hundreds of quality contextual links. Try these same methods today and you won’t get anywhere.

Never underestimate the power of Google. Ask yourself how many spinners are there on the market today? How much has development of these cost? Those figures can’t compare to the amount of dollars Google can afford to fight against poorly spun content and link spam.

Google owns a billion dollar technology. They send shuttles and satellites into space, thinking that one click link building tactics could be effective for years, without Google finding a way to devalue them is a nonsense.

Is this the end of grey/blackhat SEO? Hell no.

MttVader

Once first Penguin algorithm update came out, people started quitting their SEO “career”, selling their link building software licenses massively. This is proof of natural selection in online marketing, where the weaker ones die and stronger ones adapt and live. If you fail to evolve, you will get left behind, or stuck on Fiverr bargaining with people for $3.92.

Are those methods completely dead? Of course not! They just need proper tune ups and adjustments for the latest Google’s algorithm updates. Blackhat/greyhat SEO will exist forever, as it will always evolve, and so should you.

But, what works nowadays?

The problem is, most people don’t care to test out anything on their own. There are thousands of self proclaimed “SEO specialists”, who fail to test their own methods, or even have their own website. SEO is a great business, and luckily Google is evolving their algorithms to kill the lazy ones, who seem to do nothing but copy other people’s old and long forgotten methods.

There are less and less shortcuts and false assumptions that link building software can still provide tons of quality backlinks with just a few clicks. Most people forget what the software’s main purpose is. It’s for speeding up the process of registering an account, posting content and managing large lists of websites. You still need to develop a perfect plan and scrape for fresh quality sites, post quality and unique content to perform quality link building. These are things which require work and thinking with your own head.

What am I doing wrong?

This is the question that has been posted around the internet thousands of times recently. Link building is an art on a very large canvas. It has to be done properly and every small detail can easily spoil the whole picture.

  • Are you using quality and unique content?
  • Are you diversifying inbound anchor text enough?
  • Are you using fresh lists of websites that aren’t spammed to death for link building?
  • Are you diversifying platforms of sites for backlinking?

But before jumping on “I need more backlinks” train, there is one, single most important question you should ask yourself, and the answer doesn’t involve anything related to backlinks.

Why should your website deserve to rank higher than your competition?

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to look at your own website from an average visitor’s perspective. Ask an independent reader to compare your website to your competition, and you should get the true answer!

Natural link building

Diversity and unselfish link building are essential factors you need to implement into your backlinking strategy. Over-optimization is a killer of any SEO campaign, and Google easily targets Web2.0 properties, which are obviously created with a single purpose – to improve rankings of 1 single site.

Don’t be greedy! Make it look natural and link to other sites as well. There is a big difference between creating a Web2.0 property which links only to 1 website, than a Web2.0 property that links to 10 websites.

Anchor diversity is the key to success, and unless you have been living under a rock for the past 2 years, I’m sure you have already seen this graph:

Anchor Diversity Graph

Focusing on link building too much?

Many people focus too much on building backlinks and tracking positions in SERP. Of course the higher the position in SERP, the higher the amount of traffic and sales, but it’s not just about that. I have worked with many people with terrible website designs and extremely low conversion rates because they focus on SEO too much. There is probably no website in the world that has conversion rates optimized to it’s 100% potential, and there are many sites ranking 1 for the most profitable terms in the industry.

Look at the whole picture, because sometimes just optimizing conversion rates of existing traffic gives more profit than jumping from 5th to 1st position in Google. Instead of focusing too much on getting new visitors, focus on existing ones and make them stay on long term.

Licorne AIO is an all in one mainly link building tool with many other sweets like scraping and analyzing modules.

I have had my license since the introduction of LAIO Version 1 BETA. Since then, developers have improved it into a great software, which can easily be described as the best, most affordable alternative to other expensive brands, such as Senuke Xcr or Magic Submitter.

The main reason I find LAIO so powerful is the ability to post content and backlinks to over 70 platforms and ability to scrape for your own lists of sites easily. Integrated list of sites becomes useless for Tier 1 links after a while, but LAIO has integrated Search engine scraper, which can easily find new and fresh sites for submission tasks. I am using it daily (mainly for PBN maintenance and Youtube videos these days) and newest versions have never let me down.

Licorne AIO discount

Special offer: $150 $120 Lifetime license of Licorne AIO with 30$ discount.

If you are on a budget and just starting your link building career, this is one of the best price/value link building tools out there.

Quick Intro

Licorne AIO

This is the main interface where you can see complete list of your projects and tasks, you can check logging (real time or past), manage proxies and decaptcha services and create reports. You can also see the CPU percentage and RAM used. I’m not sure about minimum requirements, but I have used most of the features on a VPS with 512MB RAM and a single CPU, so you don’t need a NASA-level specs to run LAIO successfully.

Building backlinks

LAIO can post content and backlinks to over 70 platforms from all major categories which include:

  • Article directories
  • Bookmarks
  • Web directories
  • Web2′s
  • Video sites
  • Wikis
  • RSS
  • Forums
  • Social networks
  • Press release

Every link building campaign can be drip feeded through a certain amount of days/weeks to look more natural and can be scheduled to run on a certain hour and date or after a certain task is completed. This is also one of my favorite features, if you are going somewhere over the weekend, you can set up all tasks to automatically run one by one on auto pilot.

Subscribe and be the first to know about future updates, case studies and tutorials.

Once you set up a new project, click on Account creation task. Setting up a profile takes less than a minute. All the necessary information for creating profiles for account registration are already pre-inserted in Spintax format and they change automatically every time you start creating new accounts. Every created account needs it’s email. LAIO supports every POP3 email accounts like Gmail and Hotmail. I don’t recommend using disposable emails (Mailnesia) because success rate isn’t as high with them.

licorne aio - profile creation

Once a new profile is all set up, only thing left is to select sites from database to perform account creation task on. You can select websites based on their category, platform, list name or PR and OBL.

Tiered link building with diagram designer

Diagram designer is one of the features that have been added recently in version 3. It simplifies the tiered link building process and it works much like any high-priced software out there.

There are unlimited possibilities and once you scrape for your own lists of fresh sites, diagram designer is a life saver.

Licorne AIO -Diagram Designer

How I use it:

Fresh high PR Web2 properties to money site as Tier 1 and mixture of older and fresh lower PR Web2′s for Tier 2. Anything goes for Tier 3, but I use article directories with contextual links mostly.

Once all tasks for tiered link building are connected, double click on every task and insert the required content. High quality content is necessary for every every task, especially Tier 1 which points directly to your money site.

Scraping and importing custom lists of sites

This is one of my favorite features of LAIO. I rarely use any inbuilt sites for backlink and content submission, especially for Tier 1 links and reason is simple. Those sites get spammed to death very quickly and lose their value in the eyes of Google. That doesn’t go for LAIO only, but for any software out there. Once hundreds of users start spamming a website on a regular basis, alarm is triggered on Google.

It is essential to regularly find and import fresh list of custom sites and that is done pretty easily with Search engine scraper and Link analyzer modules.

Tools – Scrapers – Search engine scraper

Licorne AIO

It is recommendable to use proxies for scraping because one IP can get banned for couple of hours very easily when performing heavy scraping on Google. I use private proxies for that, but any higher number of working public proxies will do the job just as well.

Insert your list of keywords and choose the platforms you want to scrape for. If you don’t have a big list of proxies, limit scraping to 5000 results. The more keywords you insert, the more results you will get back. You can scrape for hundreds of keywords with Google suggest scraper module in just a few minutes of work.

Footprints for scraping are already integrated, but you can edit them or even add more of them in LAIO default folder – Scraper Footprints.

Once scraping is done and LAIO retrieves thousands of sites from Search engine scraper, send results to Link analyzer with a press on a single button.

Licorne AIO

Link analyzer will check which sites are alive, analyze them all and sort them out by their platform, OBL and dofollow/nofollow tag. Once this is done, select desired links and add them into main database. LAIO will remove all duplicated domains and check again if any of them is not working. I strongly suggest naming every scraped list (ex: Scraping WP 2/12/2014) for further analysis.

Percentage of good and healthy sites LAIO will return varies all the time. If you scrape for WordPress article sites, obviously success rate will be very low, but anything around 1-5% on average is an awesome outcome.

Integration:

Licorne AIO integrates easily with many other services and tools. For solving captchas I recommend Deathbycaptcha and Spin Rewriter for spinning content.
